In this interview, the elders describe the Ewua priesthood of the royal court of the Ọba of Benin. All the rituals performed by the Ewua are for the Ọba, and the items used for them are secret and cannot be divulged to non-initiates. The elders speak about the history of the Ogbelaka guild and the composition of the subgroups and affiliates. The hierarchical structure of the guild is described and the various heads of some of the affiliate guilds are named. The head of the Ogbelaka is said to be the Obamwonyi of Benin Kingdom.
