Physical description/1 description	Small hide box with large circular base. The lid has a tubular section, which fits inside the corresponding part of the box, and a circular piece of hide on top, attached with plant fibre. [R.Hand]

The base and lid are both formed from a circular piece of hide with a cylindrical strip attached with plant fibre at the centre. These form the box walls and slot into one another. Both the base and the lid have perforations which are seemingly unrelated to the construction of the box. The fibre binding is coming loose on the lid.
